At My Father’s House we all can relate to these feelings and states of humanity.  We have been there and in some ways may still be there.  But, by the grace of God, our lives are constantly being transformed into new ones.  We would like invite you to join us in this journey of joy fueled by a loving, caring God as revealed by Jesus Christ.

Our Story . . .

begins in the hearts of a small band of visionaries from Spring Hill Church of the Nazarene in 2003.  God began to break the hearts of these folks for struggling people in and around Paola, Kansas.  Some who struggled were poor, some were socially disenfranchised and others just appeared to be without hope.

Spring Hill Church of the Nazarene, now Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, sponsored the new church plant that would target these hurting people.  The church raised the funds to pay the salary of Lead Pastor, Jay Preston, for about a year.  With that sponsorship, 48 men, women and children went to plant a new church in February 2003.

This church has a unique organizational strategy.  The church created and sponsors a nonprofit organization, My Father's House Community Services, to accomplish its compassionate ministries and programming.  The relationship between the two organizations is akin to a marriage of the two entities, each committed to the other to accomplish their goals.

Our Vision is . . .
To be a God-centered community, aspiring to...
   Love God.
      Love people.
         Value diversity.
            Be Genuine.

Our Mission is . . .

zzzto deliver a message of hope and good news to those who God has given us to serve, and to live out that message in vital community.  The message includes three primary attributes regarding God and this church:

Acceptance
God accepts you just as you are.  God loves you just as you are.  No exceptions!

Acceptance practiced is the truest expression of love.  As followers of Jesus, we are to do the things we see him doing.  Our church community must be one where acceptance is practiced.

Transformation
God would like to help you change from the inside out.  If there are destructive habits, harmful attachments or past experiences that bring you down, God would love to change all of that.  He is capable, and He loves us enough to accomplish in us what we have not been able to accomplish ourselves.

We will join in the partnership with God as you pursue a new life pathway. We will support you as a loving, accepting community as you begin to grow spiritually, mentally and/or emotionally.  Sometimes growth is painful and tough but, with a strong community for support and God’s Spirit directing, any transformation is possible.

Mission
God can use you.  He has created us to do ministry that is inspiring and enjoyable.  Our “calling” is not only self-fulfilling but is meant to be shared in an authentic Christian community where, with the help of God, we are ministers to one another.

We, as the church, will help you to learn who you are in Christ and how he has wired you to do ministry.  We will provide you with opportunities to experiment with doing ministry using your gifts and your talents.  Our goal is that you will find a ministry role that is rewarding and fulfilling and that will build others up.
